Amazon has announced that its prototype satellites for Project Kuiper, its internet venture, are functioning normally after a week in orbit. The satellites are drawing power from solar panels and communicating with Amazon's ground terminal. The company plans to launch around 3,326 satellites to provide broadband internet service globally. The next phase of the mission will focus on testing the system's data network. Project Kuiper is separate from Blue Origin and aims to provide affordable broadband to underserved communities.
